Are there any manufacturers for 500 ft. steel water well tape other than Lufkin/Cooper Tools?
I am looking for a specialized steel measuring tape similar to ones used in surveying. This tape is a natural finish, no cladding of any kind. It has graduations in 100ths of a foot increments for 30 ft. The graduations are slightly raised from the surface of the tape as to catch chalk when rubbed with it. This not a babbet type tape. The tape is approx. 5/16ths to 3/8ths wide and 1/32th thick. Again, I am interested in locating another manufacturer other than Lufkin/Cooper Tools as they have discontinued making this particular specification of tape. The current one they make is thinner and only has 20ft. of graduations. This type is proving to be insufficient for our field use.
