HOLLYWOOD - Earlier this year, when actor Danny Glover traveled to Caracas to meet with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, things couldn't have gone smoother. The two hit it off so well that Glover brought Chavez to his hometown of Harlem, to promote an offer to sell heating oil to low income Americans at discount prices. However, it appears that the two comrades are on the outs, ever since Glover made a return trip to the land of poppy, and discovered his nephew playing with a black crayon adorned with the racial slur "Negro".
"It'd be one thing if this was an isolated incident: maybe an error in printing," fumed Glover during a recent press conference, "but I've been through 236 boxes of crayons, and all the black ones say Negro!" Part of his anger stemmed from the fact that he felt Blacks were being singled out. "I don't see the word 'Cracker' on the white crayon... or 'Slanty' on the yellow," continues the actor. "The yellow ones say 'armarillo'... what the fuck is an armarillo?"
When Glover was informed that "Negro" was the word for "black" in Spanish, he became even more irate. No word on how this affects Chavez's offer for cheap heating oil, but Glover doesn't think the arrangement will change. He explains, "Chavez may be a racist, but he ain't no Indian-giver."

Danny Glover - Total Idiot
Mr. Glover now embraces Hugo Chavez as one of his closest friends. So what if Chavez is giving cheap oil to those in need, it's the same as taking blood money as Chavez is a dictator who has little respect for human life.
Mr. Glover ought to take stock in his new friend's history:
A quote for today's New York Post (6-4-07) regarding actress Maria Conchita Alonso who lived in Venezuela for a time describes Chavez as, ""a totalitarian dictator" whose plan from the very beginning was to consolidate his power and become leader for life, just as his friend Castro did. "He's closing TV and radio stations. There's no freedom of speech. Pretty soon, he'll close down the Internet, too," Alonso told Page Six. The former beauty queen and pop singer is producing a documentary, "Two Minutes of Hate," about the events of April 11, 2002, when Chavez dispatched snipers to stop a peaceful protest march. "Nineteen died, and more than a hundred were hurt," said Alonso, who fears it is already too late to stop him. "The majority is against Chavez, but he is 100 percent in control. There won't be any free elections."
So, this is what the intelligent Danny Glover supports? I am ashamed of him. It will be a cold day in Hades before I support another one of his films or projects. For all intents and purposes, Danny Glover is no better than a traitor.
